Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide security at venue, preventing vandalism or theft.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment for staff.
- Complete a variety of assigned tasks given by the Race Director, Construction Manager, Festival Manager, and Base Camp Manager.
- Recruits Safety / Loss Prevention Team Volunteers
- Manage the Safety / Loss Prevention Team roster and continuously provide updates and information to the volunteers.
- Create a layout of Safety Team Positions using Festival Layout Map per each event location.
- Recruit a Safety / Loss Prevention Team Leader to manage the team while the Security Manager is off shift during event days.
- Provide an orientation, walkthrough, and duty descriptions to volunteers before event days.
- Communicate with Law Enforcement and EMT/Paramedics effectively.
- Continuously update a patrol and productivity log.
- Provide an End of Shift Brief to necessary personnel.
- Follow standard procedure to ensure event security timeline is executed flawlessly.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Possess basic construction knowledge and ability to operate and maintain power tools
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends and / or nights and spend long hours on feet, potentially in inclement weather
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively to organization staff and volunteers in person, over phone or radio
- High work ethic and integrity, observant and attention to detail
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Willingness and ability to travel 11 days at a time, with approximately 100% travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google Office Products, used largely to assist in the volunteer recruitment and management.
